The Sega Genesis Mini will launch in September with 40 games
Hopefully, this will be an improvement over the last Sega retro offering.

It seems everyone wants a piece of the mini console market. Whether it’s the well-received Nintendo offerings or the not-so-well-received Sony PlayStation Classic, classic consoles are here and Sega is back to try its hand at a mini version of a past hit.
While Sega has tried the classic console formula before, it was lackluster at best. Hopefully, it will prove to be a better experience this time. Announced at Sega Fes 2019, the console is being prepped for a September 19 release and will run $80.
It will come with two USB controllers and include 40 games loaded onto the console
Sega didn’t announce the full list of games, but did give us a look at ten that will be included in the library.
If this is any indication of the quality of games coming to the retro console, we’re in for a treat.
The Sega Genesis Mini will be 45% smaller than the original Sega Genesis and will include features we’ve become accustomed to in retro emulators, like save state options to help players get through some of these old-school, unforgiving games.
