Will the Nintendo Switch OLED have exclusive games?
Could the OLED version be good enough to warrant exclusive titles?
Nintendo’s new OLED Switch has finally arrived, and it brings with it some decent upgrades. Though fans were disappointed to hear that the new Switch wasn’t a 4K gaming machine, there are still some nice things about the OLED version.
The biggest improvement is the upgraded screen on the new console. The OLED version has a 7″ screen, an improvement over the previous version’s 6.2″ display. The new Switch also features improved audio as well as a fancy new kickstand for gaming on the go.
But what about the console’s performance? Is there a chance that Nintendo could possibly release games that would be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch OLED version?
Will there be exclusive games on the OLED version of the Switch?
Short answer: No
As of now, it doesn’t look like there are going to be any exclusive games for the Nintendo Switch OLED version. Although the console does include a couple of nice upgrades, the hardware doesn’t seem to really have increased enough to support games that are much better than what’s available for the original console.
At the end of the day, this is probably a good thing. The OLED version of the Switch isn’t the 4K version that we thought Nintendo might produce, and the overall performance of the console hasn’t really been improved. Having exclusive games for the OLED version would cut a lot of Switch owners off of games that their consoles could probably handle just fine.
